These Biscuits are the Key to your Dog's Heart

Every time I open up a jar of these Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits, my dogs go CRAZY! I make them sit and wait patiently for them and they literally drool just from the smell. I like to know what ingredients are in my dog's treats and this recipe gives me peace of mind. There are only 6 simple ingredients in these homemade dog treats and they're super easy to make for your furry friend.

My dogs, Moon and Artemis, have a very active lifestyle and I like to give them each 1 of these treats a day at lunch time for a mid-day protein packed snack. They anticipate these treats the minute we return home from a walk and I like to think it's the highlight of their day.

How to Make Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits

The process for making these Pumpkin Peanut Butter Dog Biscuits could not be simpler. I love making these as a gift for friends during the holidays because they are so EASY to prepare and look adorable in a mason jar tied with a ribbon.

  1. Combine the mashed banana, pumpkin puree, peanut butter, cinnamon and oatmeal.
  2. Transfer dough to a lightly floured surface then add the remaining flour to the top and use your hands to flatten the dough. Cut the dough using a 1-inch biscuit cutter (or dog bone cookie cutter) and place on a non-stick baking sheet.
  3. Bake until golden brown and slightly firm.

These biscuits are so easy to make and my 4 dogs love them. They are quite tasty, they taste like Nature Valley Oat bars. This recipe is a keeper.
